Dr Ai-Lene Chan has been a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2010.
With extensive experience working in rural Australia, including Christmas Island, Stradbroke Island, East Arnhem Land, and The Cocos-Keeling Islands, Dr Chan returned to Adelaide in 2021.
She is an advocate for equitable healthcare and has held positions on the RACGP Refugee health specific interests group, with World Wellness Group and as senior medical officer for Wheels of Wellness. She co-authored the RACGP White Book “Working with migrant and refugee communities.” Dr Chan has been a medical educator for Phase, Nepal and Austraian Doctors for Africa in Somaliland.
She has a passion for paediatrics, women’s health, preventative care and working with culturally and linguistically diverse people.
When away from the office, Dr Chan, her partner and daughter enjoy beachcombing for crabs, bushwalking and reef swims.
